Stock Grades
Stock Grades Explained
Understand the condition of products before you buy.
Niellar offers a wide range of products in varying conditions. Each listing falls under a specific stock grade, which helps buyers make informed purchasing decisions. Below is an explanation of the key stock grades used on our platform:
New
Brand new, unused products in original condition, without any signs of handling or wear. These items are typically covered by the manufacturer’s or seller’s warranty and are ideal for resale as retail-ready stock.
Used
Fully functional, tested products that show clear signs of previous use. These items may have cosmetic wear, but are still operational. Some used products may still be covered by a warranty. Sellers are expected to clearly describe the visual and functional condition in the product listing.
Damaged
Products that are broken or defective — including items damaged during transport, by the customer, or due to a manufacturing fault. These may be new but non-functional, or visibly damaged. No warranty is provided, and products are sold as-is. Suitable for parts, repairs, or salvage resale
Mixed / Customer Returns
Typically untested returns from customers, often in original packaging (though not guaranteed). Some items may work perfectly, others may be defective or incomplete. The exact condition may be unknown, even to the seller. These items are sold strictly “as-is”, often with no warranty, no returns, and no guarantees — but they are usually offered at significantly reduced prices, making them attractive for bulk buyers or refurbishers.
Refurbished
Products that have been professionally reconditioned by the manufacturer or a certified refurbisher. Faulty components are repaired or replaced, and the items are tested to ensure functionality. Refurbished goods — especially electronics like laptops and smartphones — are often sold with a limited warranty.
Outlet / Clearance
Includes liquidation stock, end-of-line products, clearance lots, and obsolete inventory. These items are usually new, but may show minor imperfections from long-term storage or handling. Outlet stock may be sold in job lots or without a full size or model range. Warranty is generally not included.
